Javier Perez Pendragosa.  
     

was born in Madrid in 1971. He studied medicine in the "Universidad Complutense Madrid (MDA)" from 1989 until 1995. In the public hospital "Severo Ochoa de Leganés" he performed his resident training in gynaecology, which he completed in 2000. As a true citizen of Madrid, he held various positions from 2001 till now in different prenatal diagnosis units and hospitals in this city. Currently he is working in the "Gynaecology and Reproductive Medicine Institute" as head of the ultrasound and fetal physiopathology unit. He is also a member of DELTA, one of the most important private Ultrasound and Prenatal diagnosis Centres in the country with 15 high level specialists being a reference in this field.

His fields of interest are 2D/3D ultrasound mainly focused in CNS anomalies and facial defects, fetal echocardiography (early and conventional), 3D tele-medicine and computer sciences. He is a gifted speaker and teacher in both Spanish and English. This is also reflected in his appointment as a professor at the Spanish Ultrasound School in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He has got the highest qualification (level IV) of the Spanish Society of ultrasound in obstetrics and gynaecology. As a member of the SESEGO (Ultrasound Division of the Spanish Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology) and SEGO (Spanish Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology) he is a very active lecturer.

Right from the start of the International Course in 3D/4D Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology Javier is one of the speakers and teachers.
